Sad but true.
We must change our name. Fact is, what started as a joke, has carried us this far, but the ol' name has started to get in the way for several reasons. Following are a few of them. So, we offer you, our friends and our fans, an opportunity to help us select a new name. It won't be easy. Many don't want us to change it. And we will have to recapture a lot of exposure we have earned.

But, why??
We believe the writing is on the wall. Here are some reasons:

• To booking agents, to those who hire bands for their organizations and to people who have never heard us, the name often suggests a not-very-professional novelty band of old guys trying to have some fun. We work very hard on our music to present it as closely as possible to the originals --- and of course, we have fun doing it. Those of you who have heard us or heard about us know that. It's to those who have not had that experience we want to more clearly communicate. We need a name that does a better job of that.
• The sexual suggestion is bothersome to certain venues, and we have been prohibited from using our name. We believe we miss some great opportunities for that reason.
• Viagra is a brand name, which we have been using without permission.
• We find ourselves having to explain away our name when people ask us the name of our band.
• Our emails get trapped by spam filters to the point they never make it to their destination.

Or, why not have a contest?
That would be fun, but there are many things to research when naming an entity in these days of the world wide web. For example, is it taken? Is there an available dot com for the name? Is it trademarked? Are there other bands already using the name? We can't know all the above, but much time has been spent researching good names, and, frankly, we just don't have the time to continue the search and qualification process required for a contest. We have day jobs.
